With a clear mandate to position Africa as a global clinical research hub, TRIFT ALLIANCE offers end-to-end clinical research services, strategic partnerships, and innovative solutions that bridge the gap between the global demand for clinical trials and Africa’s underutilized research potential.
Africa represents 17.5% of the global population and bears over 50% of the world’s infectious disease burden, yet it contributes to only 2.5% of global clinical trials. This vast untapped potential, combined with Africa’s growing healthcare infrastructure and diverse population, makes the continent a strategic destination for clinical research. TRIFT ALLIANCE aims to be at the forefront of this transformation by providing a single point of entry to Africa’s clinical research landscape.

TRIFT ALLIANCE is a coalition of Africa-based clinical research organizations working together to enhance the continent’s capacity for Phase I to IV clinical trials and real-world evidence generation. We provide a single point of entry to Africa’s clinical research landscape for global pharmaceutical companies, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), governments, and NGOs.

ALLIANCE MEMBERS
TRIFT ALLIANCE was established through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with seven leading African contract research organizations with the goal to strengthen clinical research capacity, foster collaboration, and enhance visibility for Africa in the global research landscape.
The network was then officially registered in Kigali, Rwanda as a private limited liability company as TRIFT Alliance LTD and represented in Cameroon, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Belgium and USA.
Currently, the list of its members have grown to 12 CROs represented in all of the 5 African regions. In addition, it possesses a large pool of CRAs/Consultants ready to provide services based in 17 African countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe)
